Luton & District Model Boat Club Forum.
Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP).

"Membership is a privilege and not a right."

Rules of the Forum.

Membership is granted with a philosophy that assumes the honesty and good intent of our members, therefore the forum is provided in as unrestricted a manner as possible to allow our members to have the richest experience possible.

It is the member's responsibility to ensure that they comply with the latest edition of the AUP at any given time.

This AUP may be revised, without notice, at any time, at the sole discretion of the LDMBC. Completion of the relevant Registration Form is deemed to be an agreement to our Acceptable Usage Policy.

In the event of a breach of this policy, the LDMBC reserves the right to delete your account with immediate effect and ban your IP Address from access to the site.

Login names and passwords must be kept secret and not communicated to any third party. The LDMBC must be notified if they are compromised. If someone were to gain access to your account password, they will be posting under your name.

Users are forbidden to post links or discuss items related to illegal downloads, game hacks or firmware hacks. Users found to be in violation of this rule could have their account immediately deleted.

Any attempt to breach security of this site is forbidden. Attempting to do so will result in immediate account deletion and possible further legal action.

Accounts are for a single user only. Multiple user account registrations are not allowed, any infraction of this will see all your accounts deleted.

Keep topics on track, this is a modellers forum, and messages with relevance to this are much more likely to be of interest to the people here. Messages should only be posted in one forum and appropriate to the subject.

Do not spam to increase your post count, it does not increase your power or our view of you in the community.

Staff abuse will not be tolerated, they are here to help manage the site and help you. To question a decision as a member and put forward your opinion is okay. But, when a decision is finalised and not up for discussion, please respect that.

Threatening behaviour, or excessively airing your views on certain issues relating to sexual orientation, race, religion, lifestyles is boring and shows us to be ignorant. It will not be tolerated.

Observe the usual rules of Netiquette.

Do not post, publish or distribute any obscene, indecent, copyright, spam, viruses or unlawful material or information. In violating this rule, your account is open to immediate deletion and banning by IP Address, also the possibility of further legal action.

The AUP applies to all emails, private messages and all sections of this site.

Posts maybe moved or deleted at any time by the team of moderators.

We all like a joke but remember that we have younger members and guests on the Forum so don’t post anything inappropriate, this is a family oriented forum.

Note that it is impossible for the staff or the owners of this forum to confirm the validity of posts. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately. The staff and the owner of this forum reserve the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to member profile information as well.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the owners of this forum, any related websites to this forum, its staff, and its subsidiaries. The owners of this forum also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or any other related information collected on this service) in the event of a formal complaint or legal action arising from any situation caused by your use of this forum.

After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum owner or staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice.

Also note that the software places a cookie, a text file containing bits of information (such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to your computer.

The AUP can change at any time, so please check back here regularly, as this is the first place staff will point you to if any violation is found or reported.

Please do not use RED Text, that is reserved for Moderators and Admin.

Thank you on behalf of the Luton & District Model Boat Club.
